Executive Vice President
weaver@praxeis.com
In his position as Executive Vice President for PRAXEIS, Matt Weaver spearheads new business development, as well as financing for all of the company’s Life Fulfilling Communities (LFC).
Mr. Weaver leads the new business development team by identifying potential universities or organizations who will act as a partner with PRAXEIS in creating a LFC and leading a situational analysis for each potential community. After a successful situational analysis is completed, Mr. Weaver guides Project Visioning, the creative step of the development process. In this stage, he directs the completion of a market and financial feasibility study for the LFC development and assists in the negotiation process for all fees and service arrangements for each new community. Mr. Weaver also plays a major role in educating potential sponsors about the benefits related to becoming affiliated with an LFC. In addition to his research and structuring responsibilities, Mr. Weaver is responsible for the identification and education of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Weaver’s financial responsibilities include financing the upfront seed capital and permanent take-out financing for all of the company’s communities in a manner that will satisfy the lending criteria of the lenders.
Mr. Weaver joined FORCE Financial, the founding company of PRAXEIS, in 1990, after having specialized in financings for continuing care retire-ment communities, hospitals and municipal borrowers for the prior seven years. He holds a Bachelors of Arts from The College of Wooster (Phi Beta Kappa) and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
